Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is a member of the CC in the capacity of the leader of the main opposition party, had filed the writ petition, seeking termination of the appointments made in his absence.

Dahal had filed the writ on April 25, two days after the appointments were made.

Unified CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday said that the parliamentary parties are still conspiring to drive the Maoists back into the jungle, but assured that his party will never abandon the peace process.

Clearly hinting towards India, the Maoist chairman, who was speaking at an interaction programme organised in the capital, said that the protracted election for a prime minister is also being controlled through "a remote control", which is why one after another rounds is failing to bear results.

Expressing concern over increasing foreign interference in Nepal's internal affairs, Dahal said Nepal's sovereignty is in grave danger from India and accused it of directly influencing the course of Nepali politics.
